About Marin City Today
The Marin City Today newspaper is the result of a collaboration of community organizations and volunteers coming together to celebrate our community and provide an information pathway for all who live in Marin City or otherwise have an interestg in it. Marin City Today is published by ISOJI, The Marin City Community Development Corporation, and The Marin City Community Services District. Marin City Today follows the tradition of the Marin City Times, the last edition of which was published December of 1992.
Marin City Today believes in the adage that "Everyone has something to bring to the table." Accordingly, we invite everyone in the community to participate in the work of the newspaper. Ideas, letters, articles, art, poetry, fund-raising, and technical support, are all essential to the creation and health of a vibrant community newspaper. Let us hear from you. You can contact us at: marincitytoday@aol.com ; by phone at 332-1311; or by fax at 381-0230.
Advertising
During the past two years we have been publishing issues approximately every three months. We are currently considering increasing our funding so that we can publish an issue on a regular basis of one every other month. The funding source will be advertising. If you are interested in advertising in Marin City Today please contact us to discuss your needs and our rates.
About This Web Site
The purpose of this Web site is to assist in the process of "Building Community From Within" (the mission of ISOJI) by providing special attention and greater access to local news and information.
This site does, or eventually will, contain all previous issues of the newspaper. Depending on the issue, you will either be able to view a single article or the entire newspaper, the latter being possible because the paper is on the site in PDF format.
The sponsors of Marin City Today are (1) The Community Services District (elected officials), (2) The Community Development Corporation (community economics), and (3) ISOJI (e-so-gee) a grassroots community-building team.
