Newspaper Business Points

 Purpose of the special edition to bring all relevant information regarding the community and regional interest up to date.

This is a special one-time "FREE"  edition unless interest compels a continuation of this type of communications.

This venture is propelled by the need for news affecting the non-profit sector targeting social justice and community equity building.  This means community must find ways to access information, then convert it to proactive actions, products, essential processes, outcomes and opportunities that strengthen community.  

The plan will use multiple media outlets to provide as much of a circulation around the County as possible, mainly through electronic media, selected drop-off points and promotional advertising.

The two primary modes of distribution are (1) published newspaper and (2) online via the www.marincity.net web site.

1. Print Newspaper copy, approximately 16  pages or less and distributed through non-profit channels; bulk rate and hand delivery
2. Number two will be an online edition that will primarily operate by creating linked web pages with PDF downloadable back-up files.  The process will be accompanied by a master index on the marincity.net website. We are also open to other alternatives.
3. Funding (a) solicit local organization for their support
   
4. MCT will recruit volunteers wherever possible
   
5. Identify publisher -- (currently Marin Sun)
   
6. Use CSD bulk non-profit permit number to bulk mail newspaper
7. ISOJI/CSD/CDC will host the online version on www.marincity.net which can be access via their web site.
   
8. Acquire links to the site from various organizations, particularly those wishing to elaborate on their mission.
